Steve Irwin is dead. One of the few people in the world I actually admired, not for his heroics on his show but for the message he was passing on to the millions who watched him day in and day out on Animal Planet. The last time I felt this sadness for a total stranger's death was when George Harrison passed.
I'm at a loss for words here.
